Patrick Schmidt is a Brazilian researcher who received his B.S. in Animal Science from the Federal University of Lavras his M.S. degree in Animal Science from São Paulo State University, and his Ph.D. degree in Agronomy from the University of São Paulo. Patrick Schmidt is an Associate Professor at the Animal Science Department of the Federal University of Paraná (Curitiba/Brazil) since 2008 and Coordinator of the Forage Research Centre of that university. Professor Schmidt conducts research on forage production and utilization including silage fermentation, dynamics of gas production, and aerobic preservation of wet feeds. His hobbies are brewing beer and hiking.
