Dr. Manuel Gonzalez Ronquillo

Manuel Gonzalez Ronquillo is a Veterinary and Animal Science from the University of Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico, his PhD degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and his postdoctoral studies in the UDSFR-Madison, Wi (Fulbright fellowship) and FAO-AGA division in Rome, Italy. His main research interests focus on sustainable animal diets (StAnD), and its effects on the quality of food products of animal origin. In recent years he has focused on evaluate StAnD with special attention in the reduction of methane emissions in ruminants, the non-use of antibiotics or antimicrobial resistance, and the use of native resources of the region, including sustainable feeding strategies and food preservation (hay and silage).
